Saddle Lake is one of three lakes situated within a major corridor for animal traffic, such as the bear whose prints are seen here.  The smaller print is from the front paw, and the larger print is the back paw of the bear.  From this camp, four different black bears were observed, as well as several moose, and dozens of Dall (big horn) sheep.  Wolf prints were also seen in the mud near the lake.
