Summer Solstice.  At this latitude, the sun set for approximately five hours on the shortest night of the year.   While in Port Alsworth, we stayed in a tent cabin supplied by the NPS.  To get to town, we either walked about a mile, or canoed across the small harbor.  From stern to bow in the canoe are Kevin Hon (NMSU), Patricia Heiser (Ohio University), and Jason (Alaska Pacific University).
